In April 2025, SSM Paper's Dongguan factory announced exciting news: two brand-new fully automated high-speed production lines completed installation, commissioning, and officially entered production. With this expansion, the company now operates 11 production lines, and annual capacity has jumped from 40,000 to 50,000 tons, marking a significant leap in both production scale and technological capability.
The two new lines feature domestically leading papermaking and post-processing equipment, integrating advanced modules for automatic slitting, automatic packaging, and online inspection. Each line has a designed daily capacity exceeding 15 tons and can simultaneously produce tissue products in multiple specifications.
Smart Manufacturing for Better Efficiency
The new production lines fully embrace smart manufacturing principles. Through Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology, real-time monitoring and data collection of equipment operating status have been achieved. Deep integration between the MES and ERP systems has enabled end-to-end digital management from order receipt to production scheduling, material dispatch, and finished goods warehousing.
The benefits are substantial: the new lines consume approximately 15% less energy, raw material utilization has improved by 8 percentage points, defect rates have dropped by over 30%, and overall production efficiency has increased by about 25%.

While expanding capacity, SSM Paper has not relaxed its pursuit of quality. The new lines are equipped with imported online quality inspection instruments that monitor key parameters, grammage, whiteness, wet strength, softness, in real time.
